Portland Zoo

Christinas Pics 2121
This will be the last post about my trip home. :) We went to the zoo for a day which was a lot of fun. Here we are all sitting (Christina is taking the picture) out on the lawn eating our lunch.

Sawyer loved the petting zoo. It was fun having a kid at the zoo. He got so excited to see all of the animals.

Staring at the sea lions.
IMG_2074
We got lions just a couple of years ago and I love them. I'm not really sure why though. Maybe it's because Maddy would always make us watch Lion King with her whenever she came over. :)
IMG_2079
Sawyer liked getting up close and personal to the cats. He also likes to say "meow."
Christinas Pics 2132
I LOVE snow cones. And I found out that Sawyer LOVES snow cones too!! He ate about half of my snow cone if not more.
Christinas Pics 2137
So delicious!! I didn't even mind sharing. :)
IMG_2103
The cutest animal at the zoo. He loved trying to get close to the animals.

I had such a great trip home. I loved seeing my parents, my sisters and Sawyer. I worry that Sawyer won't remember me the next time I see him. :( He is such a cutie and I miss him so much!

The Beach

We also went to the beach when I was home. Sawyer loved it! This was his second time going to the beach.
IMG_2016
This is his "What is this stuff all over my hand look." He loved playing in the sand. Christina had a shovel and bucket for him to dig around. The shovel broke and it was really funny trying to watch Sawyer scoop up the sand with his broken shovel.
IMG_2022
This is kind of a random picture. Those are green beans hanging out of his mouth. For those of you who don't know I hate green beans and I mean HATE! When I saw Christina feeding them to him I said to Sawyer, "Don't eat those they are yucky!" Christina was not very happy with me. He he.

You can't go to the beach without getting burried in the sand.
IMG_7610
My beautiful mermaid tail.
IMG_7628
I tried to burry Sawyer in the sand but he just screamed. After he saw me get burried he seemed more willing so we dug a little hole and had him sit in it and then we burried the sand around him. He loved it.
IMG_7632
We would burry him and then we he would break free and want to do it again.
IMG_7643
Just chillin in the sand. :)
IMG_7727
Sawyer loved the water! I thought he would scream because it was kind of cold but he didn't. He especially liked to find deep puddles and just sit and play in those.
IMG_7687
We all had so much fun.
IMG_7697\
He liked the waves but tripped and fell and got crashed into by a wave but he didn't even fuss. He is a trooper.
IMG_2045
After getting wet we dryed Sawyer off and layed out in the sun for a little bit. Some kids came and played soccer too close to our blanket and Sawyer got beaned in the head by the ball. Stupid teenagers! ;) He of course cried and we had to move our blanket away from the game. It was still a fun day and Sawyer was so much fun to play with at the beach.

Home!

I was able to get a week off of work last week and go home! Christina is home for the whole month of June this ear because Nate is taking his board exams and needs to study. So I was able to see Christina and Sawyer when I went home. Melissa suprised us and showed up on Wednesday so I got to see her too! The next few posts will be about my trip. There will be a lot of pictures of sawyer because he is so cute!
IMG_2002
The weather was great while I was home and we tried to spend a lot of time outside. We even fed Sawyer outside in his stroller.
IMG_2009
He is so adorable. I just can't get enough of him.
Christinas Pics 1991
We borrowed tricycle from a friend of ours and Sawyer loved it. He loved riding it down our driveway. At first we had to push hit back up for him but then he finally caught on and could push it back up himself.
Christinas Pics 2007
I don't know how well you can see but he is even smiling a little bit in this picture. It is so hard to get good pictures of kids because they are always moving!!
Christinas Pics 2034
Sawyer loves to wrestle. He likes to jump on you and knock you down. He also likes to head butt which can be very painful. :)
Christinas Pics 2044
I think he is winning.
Christinas Pics 2048
We took a couple of walks down the road and Dad joined us. Sawyer absolutely loves him.
Christinas Pics 2071
We went to the park to play one day. Sawyer loved the slide and wanted to go again and again.
Christinas Pics 2089
Sawyer is funny he doesn't like to swing by himself. So Mom or I had to swing next him or else he would start fussing.

He is so fun!

A Day With Friends

Paula and Livvy came to Utah for a wedding and they called me up and said that they wanted to see me. So we got together last Monday. We went to a park and Livvy and I played on the slides and just ran around being crazy. It was a lot of fun! I have known Livvy since she was born and now she will be 7 in July. I can't believe she is getting so old. We are great friends and have lots of fun together.

Funny face!

Funniest face!

Livvy took this picture. Not bad eh?

We had a lot of fun on the slides. Livvy was really good at climbing back up them. I had really slipper shoes on and just could not master it.

We went to Kneaders for lunch and President Henry B. Eyring waked in right as we were finishing. Livvy got so excited and started saying things like "I've never seen one in real life before!" It was so cute. President Eyring ordered his food and then sat down right behind me. Livvy shook his hand and he told her she was beautiful. He was with his family so we didn't want to bother him too much so I didn't shake his hand. But it was very cool to see him out and about in the real world!

Bacon anyone?....YES PLEASE!!!

For those of you who don't know I am obsessed with Bacon! It is so delicious and I just can't get enough. I was out shopping with my Aunt and Uncle when my Uncle found this shirt and so of course I had to get it!!

I acutally wore it on an airplane when I was flying home from Portland and the security guy said that it was the 5th bacon shirt he had seen that morning. I guess bacon is pretty popular!

Yum! Yum!

Jack in the Box has come out with a Bacon Shake so of course I had to try it. I soon discovered that they don't have Jack in the Box in Utah except for in St. George. How lame is that? I miss their curly fries. :( Anyways I was in Idaho one weekend so I made my Aunt and Uncle drive me to Jack in the Box.

My face right after I took a sip. So priceless. Unfortunately the shake was pretty gross and did not taste like bacon at all! So don't be tempted to try it.

At a staff meeting at work they provided lunch and on this particular day they had these turkey sandwitches that had bacon on them. I got so excited. My boss asked if anyone liked extra tomato on their sandwitch because he didn't want his. I shouted "I like extra bacon!" a little too loudly I might add. It was quite funny and embaressing. Now everyone knows about my bacon obsession and has been teasing me about it. :) Good times.

Daisy

We have a dog!

Her name is daisy and she is a Yorkie. She is quite the cutie. Someone the Poulsen's know asked if we would watch their dog for a few months why they went to St. George for the winter and that if we liked her we could keep her. So now we have a dog.

I have always wanted a dog since I was little and one year for my birthday list was:

1) puppy

2) puppy

3) puppy...like twenty times.

But I never did get a puppy.

IMG_1877
Daisy likes to be around people but it is not cuddly at all. It is actually quite funny. She follows me around the house and will lay down wherever I am. She will climb up on the couch and lay next to my leg but if I pet her too much she gets up and moves over where I can't reach her. She has such a funny personality.

IMG_1865

She likes to sleep in my doorway for some reason.

IMG_1870
Kortney is the one that givers her baths. I think she looks like a rat when she is wet. I absolutely love having Daisy. I love to take her on walks around the neighborhood. There are a lot of dogs that live near us and some of them are quite big. Daisy thinks she is quite big and tries to take them on. It is pretty funny.

I Finally Graduated!!

Well I have decided that I have to be the worst blogger ever. I haven't blogged in 4 months! Wow, pretty lame. I guess I have a lot of catching up to do over the next few blog posts.

First things first. I finally graduated from college!!! I graduated on December 16th with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University-Idaho. What a great day that was!! My class was the largest graduating from BYU-Idaho but which will probably be suprassed by April's graduating class. :)

I got to graduate with my dear friend Megan which I was really greatful for or else I would have been all alone and that would have been sad. It took me an extra semester to graduate so most of the people I knew had already graduated but Megan had gone on a mission so she was late graduating too so it was perfect!!! Meggo was one of my roomates my very first semester and one of my favorite roomates of all time!!! I absolutley love her! It was so fun sitting with her and walking with her. We laughed the whole time even right before we had to walk across the stage.

Tanya was also able to make it to my graduation. She was also one of my roomates. I lived with her for 3 semesters. She is from Russia and is very funy and quite the unique person. :)

My parents drove out from Washington to attend the graduation and my brother Spencer rode a bus from Salt Lake so that he could also come. My two best friends Ashley and Kelsey also came. It was a big party!!! I don't have any other exciting pictures because my Dad took the good ones and he hasn't given them to me yet the little stinker. If he ever does get around to giving them to me maybe I will post a few more.
