Dear Santa,

I think I have been a pretty good girl this year, well at least I've tried to be. :) So here is what I would like for Christmas this year:

1. A Mini Cooper-perferrably red or blue
2. A niece or nephew would be nice
3. Calamity Jane or Teachers Pet(Doris Day movies)
4. The Chosen by Chaim Potok
5. Benton Paul CD Grey
6. To get really good roomates next semester (You can put that under my tree in Rexburg :))
7. The Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer (Cary Grant movie)
8. Some good smelling body spray or perfume
9. Sydney White-It's a good flick
10. Some sweet shoes- You know what I like
11. A cute skirt to wear to church
12. A black beanie or warm hat for freezing rexburg weather

I hope you have a wonderful Holidays Santa! Thanks for all the joy you bring into this world.
Love,
Brittany

Excited to be back in WA? I think so!!!

So I drove home for Thanksgiving break with some fellow Washingtonians. As we got closer to Washington I got more and more excited. When we first stopped in Washington, which ended up being in Camas I jumped out of the car and kissed the ground! Yummy!

Craziness!

Well I haven't blogged in a long time because I have been super busy. My classes and soccer have taken over my life! I'm taking an Anatomy and Physiology class which takes up a lot of time and is a lot of memorization. Last week I had a exam over the different tissues of the body such as Pseudostratified Cilliated Columnar Epithelium. What a mouthful! Well guess what? I got 106%!! I don't mean to be bragging but I was so suprised.

Well anyways yesterday I had to make dinner for my roomates. Those of you who know me well know that I do not know how to cook. I had my mom find me a simple recipe to make and I did it. It took a lot longer to make than it should have but I did it and it actually tasted pretty good. Amazing!

Twin Falls

My parents drove me back to Rexburg last Wednesday and on the way there we stopped in Twin Falls to look at the new temple. There was a really cool canyon that we crossed to get to the temple and it ended up being the canyon that Evil Knievel tried to jump on some type of motorcycle. Here are some of the pictures.

Beach Trip!

Kelsey, Ashley and I went to Seaside for the day on Thursday! It was loads of fun. We stopped by the Astoria tower but it was closed for repair so we couldn't climb up it. :( We went to the candyman store and bought tons of salt water taffy. There like a million flavors and some of them were kind of nasty like jalapeno.
We made lunches but the seagulls ate mine while we were running through the waves. How rude! We also rented this contraption to ride around seaside in. We looked through all of the shops. Kelsey bought some really funny sweats and I bought a tie-die shirt. It's pretty hip. :)

Her sweats say "Pirates do it for the Booty"

We went into this hat store and tried on a whole bunch of funny hats. It was quite an adventure and the perfect ending to summer.

Blast From the Past

So I have been going through some of my things that have been burried away in boxes and drawers. I found a little diary that I wrote in my younger years. I read some through some of the entries which were pretty amusing then I found this hilarious entry that I wrote when I was 13 and thought you might enjoy it. I laughed so hard when I read it. Enjoy!!

Roots Before Branches

So there is this somewhat new song that I have just fell in love with called Roots Before Branches by Room For Two. I love the lyrics. I think they just say everything! Love it! Here they are:

So many things
To do and say
But I can't seem
To find my way
But I wanna know how
I know
I'm meant
For something else
But I don't know how
Oh, why do
I reach for the stars
When I don't have wings
To carry me that far?

I gotta have
Roots before branches
To know who I am
Before I know Who I wanna be
And faith
To take chances
To live like I see
A place in this world
For me

Sometimes
I don't wanna feel
And forget the pain
Is real
Put my head
In the clouds
Oh, start to run
And then I fall
Seein'
I can't get it all
Without my feet
On the ground

There's always a seed
Before there's a rose
The more that it rains
The more I will grow

I gotta have
Roots before branches
To know who I am
Before I know
Who I wanna be
And faith
To take chances
To live like I see
A place in this world
For me

Whatever comes
I know how to take it
Learn to be strong
I won't have to fake it
Oh, you're understandin'
Oh, but when you come
And do it best
There ain't nothin'
To stoppin' east to west
But I'll still
Be standing
I'll be standing

I gotta have
Roots before branches
To know who I am
Before I know
Who I wanna be
And faith
To take chances
To live like I see
A place in this world

I gotta have
Roots before branches
To know who I am
Before I know
Who I wanna be
And faith
To take chances
To live like I see
A place in this world
For me

I gotta have
Roots before branches

My Lucky Charm!!!

As mentioned in the post below. Mini Coopers are my favorite cars. I can't put a date on when the obsession started but I'm guessing around the sixth grade when my teach got one and drove it to school. It was the most beautiful car I had ever seen. Well over the years Mini Coopers have become good luck charms. Whenever I see one I get really excited and scream. Watch out if you are near me when I see one because you just might lose your hearing.

Once I was driving with my friends family in their car. I was behind the driver (her Father) when I saw a Mini Cooper and of course I screamed with excitement right into her Father's ears. He wasn't to happy about it. :)

There are all types of Mini Coopers and colors. I don't really have a favorite, they are all so beautiful, but I really do like the red ones with the white stripes.
At the Mini Cooper website you can learn all about the different types of Mini Coopers, build your own Mini Cooper!!!, and play fun games. Check it out!
